Job Overview

Position Summary

K2 Staffing is representing a prominent IT Solutions firm seeking a Help Desk Support Level II Technician. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in technology along with exceptional interpersonal communication abilities. A passion for creating solutions that utilize technology to address client business challenges is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales teams to deliver pre- and post-sales assistance, including discovery meetings, site assessments, proposal creation, and technical presentations.
  • Manage and deploy Windows Servers and oversee Active Directory.
  • Design and implement Local Area Networks.
  • Establish and monitor network security protocols.
  • Optimize and maintain both network software and hardware.
  • Build and deploy file servers and cloud solutions.
  • Configure and implement VOIP systems.
  • Conduct troubleshooting for network infrastructure issues.
  • Administer Microsoft Exchange Server.
  • Oversee telephone solutions.
  • Monitor alert systems and respond according to established guidelines.
  • Utilize event log messages to facilitate repairs.
  • Handle escalated service requests that require advanced responses.
  • Assist with onboarding new users.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing networking equipment, Windows servers, workstations, Exchange server, and Active Directory.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a client-facing role, such as sales engineering.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with clients to understand their business and technology challenges.
  • Strong organizational and time-management capabilities.
  • Experience in drafting proposals for technical solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Results-driven, self-motivated, energetic, and a reliable team player.
  • Solid understanding of technology and business productivity systems.
  • Familiarity with RMM (remote monitoring and management) tools is a plus.
  • Ability to solve complex problems, exceptional customer service skills, and strong multitasking abilities.
  • Sales training experience is advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications (not mandatory)

  • CompTIA Net+ and/or CompTIA Security+ certifications.
  • MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator/Solutions Associate) or MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) certifications.
  • CCNA or CCIE-Cisco certifications are highly desirable.
