Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Energy Production Support Specialist to join our team at Madison Gas & Electric Co. The successful candidate will provide analytical and administrative support to our Energy Production staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Track operating statistics and maintain records and databases
  • Interface with plan historian and coordinate data requests
  • Assist with budgeting and budget tracking, scheduling appointments, and handling accounting tasks
  • Review and coordinate EP management staff schedule and updates calendar as necessary
  • Track annual departmental goals and distribute monthly updates
  • Support staff in assigned project-based work and maintain information needed for collective bargaining and labor agreement administration
  • Perform administrative tasks related to accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
  • Maintain purchasing records and supply inventory, and track on-site chemical, bulk chemical, and lube inventory
  • Record labor and process closing of work orders, and balance stock parts inventory monthly and annually
  • Collect and file various safety and inspection records in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Assist EP managers with annual budget development and tracking, and create and update conference room, training room, and EP calendars
  • Process EP generation equipment operation logs daily, and generate and distribute EP plant information reports monthly
  • Upload EP generation equipment operating statistics to MicroGADS monthly and MISO quarterly, and report EP generation equipment operating statistics to federal agency monthly and annually
  • Attend meetings and record minutes as assigned, and coordinate biannual departmental meetings and departmental newsletter

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software
