Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technology Support Specialist to join our team at Carlson Capital Management. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our colleagues, ensuring a seamless experience across all our platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of our technology infrastructure, including hardware and software resources.
  • Administer our LAN and WAN networks across multiple office locations.
  • Support and maintain our IT strategic planning and compliance systems, including disaster recovery and asset management.
  • Manage our technology partner relationships, including IT, user support, network, telecommunications, hardware, software, consultants, and vendors.
  • Provide vigilant oversight, investigation, and reporting on industry best practices.
  • Offer Tier 1 technical support for all hardware, software, and mobile devices, including new colleague configurations, onboarding, and workstation moves.
  • Assist with remote-office users' technology needs related to home offices.
  • Manage asset inventory, cataloging, and organization, including mobile device inventory and software licenses.
  • Manage phone and online meeting technology.
  • Conduct hardware and software testing and training.
  • Responsible for keeping inventories accurate for disaster recovery and managing obsolete technology disposal and recycling.
  • Manage password databases and security communications.
  • Manage technology needs and provide support for offsite events, presentations, and meetings.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in a directly related field.
  • Preferred minimum of one year of experience providing direct desktop and network tech support and administration, or equivalent training or classwork.
  • Strong customer-service orientation and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate technical needs, required activities, and desired outcomes to all functional areas of the firm.
  • Demonstrated technology support skills across multiple platforms.
  • Basic PC hardware troubleshooting experience.
  • Software support including Windows desktop, Windows servers, and Microsoft Office.
  • Desire to work in a highly professional work environment.
