Position Overview: AV Equipment Coordinator at Seton Hall University
The AV Equipment Coordinator at Seton Hall University is responsible for overseeing the management and provision of audio-visual resources for various academic and administrative functions on campus. This role involves collaborating with faculty and staff to deliver training on the use of AV technology and ensuring the effective operation of equipment during events.
Key Responsibilities:Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on audio-visual systems in classrooms and meeting spaces.Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory of AV technology, manage logistics for equipment setup, and supervise student assistants.Training and Support: Offer ongoing training to faculty and student assistants on the effective use of AV equipment, and operate technology during events.Administrative Duties: Handle clerical tasks including managing service requests, answering inquiries, and coordinating reservations.Essential Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
2-3 years of relevant experience in audio-visual services within an educational environment
Strong knowledge of projection systems, sound, video, and recording technologies
Familiarity with Crestron and Extron control systems, as well as MS TEAMS
Comprehensive understanding of AV technologies coupled with practical mechanical skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in CTS or completion of vocational/technical training

Physical Requirements:
This position involves physical activities such as climbing, lifting heavy equipment, crawling, and extensive walking, with exposure to various weather conditions.
