About the role?

The Minerals Maintenance Manager is tasked with supervising the maintenance and repair activities within the Minerals Plant. This role involves coordinating a team of maintenance specialists to guarantee that all machinery and equipment operate at peak efficiency.
  • Foster a safety-oriented culture within the Minerals Maintenance team by exemplifying safe practices and creating environments where safety is paramount.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis discussions and implement follow-up actions.
  • Directly oversee Maintenance Mechanics, Electricians, and Multicrafts across all shifts to prioritize and complete Preventative Maintenance and Service Orders.
  • Track job progress and maintain communication with relevant departments regarding ongoing work.
  • Review all scheduled tasks to ensure timelines and requirements are fulfilled.
  • Assist in planning and scheduling maintenance activities during outages and coordinate scheduled tasks with Engineering and external contractors.
  • Ensure production equipment availability and performance meet satisfactory standards.
  • Lead production scheduling meetings.
  • Develop a high-performing team through coaching, training, and career progression.
  • Identify areas for improvement and collaborate with resources to achieve results in employee development and equipment/processes.
About you:
  • Understanding of maintenance processes with the ability to schedule manpower and equipment in collaboration with production.
  • Capable of identifying and prioritizing multiple projects while consistently seeking process improvements.
  • Proficient in SAP Systems.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to coach team members.
  • Strong knowledge of plant equipment and processes.
  • Ability to remain composed and rational in high-pressure situations, ensuring effective conflict resolution.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an industrial setting in a leadership role.
  • Skilled in identifying, observing, and assessing materials and equipment.
  • Willingness to work off shifts and weekends as necessary to maintain plant equipment.
