About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Minerals Technologies Inc. (MTI). As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete scheduled, unscheduled, and emergency maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Troubleshoot industrial equipment and electronic PLCs to identify and resolve issues
  • Perform preventive maintenance checks and services to prevent equipment downtime
Additional Responsibilities
  • Participate in the Standard Work program to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Assist with general plant and building upkeep, including warehouse duties and production line support
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in trades and factory equipment repair, preferably with experience in motors, augers, bucket elevators, etc.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and identify hazards, with a focus on mitigating risks
  • Ability to work first and second shifts, with flexibility to cover overtime as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Welding, pneumatics, electrical, and industrial systems knowledge
  • Heavy equipment operation and forklift certification
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and work in high noise areas
Working Conditions

This role will be based in a manufacturing facility, with occasional outdoor work and exposure to high noise areas.
