As a Purchasing Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of various materials, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and building strong relationships with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchase materials necessary for production by evaluating supplier cost, quality, and delivery times
  • Create, manage, and ensure accuracy of purchase orders
  • Maintain records for purchasing, supplier agreements, and inventory levels
  • Analyze market trends and pricing to compare and negotiate contracts achieving optimal cost savings for the company
  • Partner with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure inventory is in stock and prevent shortages
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and resolve delivery or quality issues
  • Prepare reports related to procurement, inventory status, and cost analysis

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of current purchasing experience
  • Experience working in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and/or Construction industries a plus
  • Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or Construction Management preferred
  • Working Knowledge in Sage software programs preferred
  • High Attention to detail and accuracy a must
