KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Verify and prepare materials prior to transporting them to the machine area.

·Engage in material handling, staging, and loading to ensure CNC burn tables meet daily standards for safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.

·Adhere to all operational procedures and process guidelines.

·Maintain consistent communication with team members and supervisors, reporting any quality or safety concerns that arise.

·Safely unload components following the completion of cutting tasks.

·Responsible for the disposal of scrap materials while identifying and marking reusable panels.

·Transport reusable materials to designated locations.

·Document the identification number on cut materials according to production documentation.

·Perform grinding and cleanup of pieces immediately after removal from the machine.

·Identify and report any defects to operators, line leads, and supervisors.

·Assist in executing preventative maintenance for operators.

·Complete necessary paperwork and time sheets accurately to manage inventory and job costs.

·Maintain cleanliness and organization in personal and shared workspaces.

·Safely operate the machine for brief periods as required.

·Perform additional duties and participate in cross-training as directed by supervision.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with the following skills and experience: previous fabrication experience including crane operation, metal processing, and material handling equipment operation. Ability to read and interpret documents such as travelers and various procedures; proficiency in basic arithmetic operations without a calculator; and capability to perform mathematical calculations involving whole numbers and fractions in both standard and metric measurements.

Candidates should have at least one year of manufacturing experience with steel or aluminum, along with experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts. The ability to read and comprehend blueprint drawings is essential.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands outlined here represent the requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The role involves repetitive movements, requiring the employee to stand, walk, stoop, bend, reach, grasp, push, and pull materials of varying sizes and weights for extended periods. Regular lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds is expected, with occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds, utilizing proper lifting techniques and assistance when necessary.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The characteristics of the work environment described here are typical for employees performing the essential functions of this role. The employee will primarily work on the production floor, necessitating the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Regular exposure to noise, dust, heat, and cold is expected, along with potential hazards from machinery and tools, requiring adherence to safety protocols.
