About the Role

We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for a Hybrid Remote SBA Loan Officer position. This role is essential for managing the SBA lending initiatives within our community bank client.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in establishing objectives and making staffing recommendations.
  • Manage pipeline production effectively.
  • Build and sustain relationships with local business brokers involved in SBA lending.
  • Identify and solicit potential SBA loan candidates.
  • Structure and price loan applications in accordance with SBA guidelines.
  • Make informed decisions regarding inquiries, approvals, and requests while adhering to existing policies and using these situations for employee development.
  • Package loans to meet SBA requirements.
  • Gather necessary information to underwrite loan requests per SBA and bank standards.
  • Prepare and present loan proposals to the appropriate approval authorities.
  • Ensure loan closings align with SBA authorizations and bank policies.
  • Enhance client relationships through effective servicing of loan clients.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in SBA Lending.
  • Experience with SBA and other government-assisted lending programs, along with familiarity with SBA standard operating procedures.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development to maintain expertise in SBA-related matters.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities, with a focus on building and leading an effective SBA team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Accounting, Credit Analysis, and knowledge of commercial banking policies.
