POSITION SUMMARY

As a Loan Operations Associate, you will be tasked with various responsibilities related to the origination and servicing of commercial, mortgage, and consumer loans. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the capacity to work accurately in a deadline-driven environment, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and exhibit strong organizational abilities. Proficiency in a Windows environment and solid computer skills are also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of loan documentation, including loan estimates and closing disclosures.
  • Onboarding all new loans and renewals.
  • Reviewing files and tracking exceptions.
  • Ordering flood determinations, verifications, appraisals, and title work.
  • Processing various secondary market tasks.
  • Filing and releasing liens such as MV-1, UCC filings, continuations, amendments, terminations, and mortgages.
  • Timely typing of adverse action forms.
  • Scanning loan files, credit card files, exceptions, insurance, and miscellaneous documents.
  • Processing paid loan papers.
  • Posting payments, making draws, advances, and construction draws.
  • Closing out escrow accounts.
  • Balancing official account statements monthly.
  • Providing backup for all loan operational duties.

The candidate must enjoy engaging with people and be eager to interact positively with customers and colleagues alike. Understanding the team concept and functioning as a cohesive member of the team is crucial as we work towards shared objectives.

It is imperative to maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding accounts and activities associated with the bank while upholding enthusiasm and customer awareness in all interactions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years of relevant customer service experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
