Position Overview

The Inventory Control Supervisor I plays a crucial role in overseeing inventory management operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with established budgets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversees operational efficiency by monitoring budget adherence, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective measures.
  • Coordinates workforce activities by assigning tasks and following up on performance outcomes.
  • Manages inventory levels through data analysis, report generation, and corrective action implementation.
  • Conducts physical inventory reconciliations and addresses discrepancies in inventory control records.
  • Supports departmental staff by investigating discrepancies, recommending inventory management strategies, and facilitating inventory distribution.
  • Maintains warehouse safety and security by ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and addressing any reported issues.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Responsible for comprehensive supervisory functions, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary recommendations.

  • Proficient understanding of inventory control methodologies and systems.
