The Injury Management Team Associate plays a crucial role in documenting initial reports of injuries sustained by team members and ensuring that claim reports and associated documentation are efficiently relayed to claims administrators. This position involves managing medical-only claims through established diary/task protocols and providing support to claims coordinators.

  • Receive and document First Reports of Injury for workers' compensation incidents through various communication channels while accurately entering claim information into the database.
  • Adhere to reporting protocols by promptly notifying claims administrators and field management, as well as reaching out to injured team members on the day of the incident.
  • Facilitate timely communication with claims administrators regarding medical-only claims, including updates on return-to-work status and maintaining contact with injured employees.
  • Assist claims coordinators by adhering to established claims guidelines and standards.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to field management, team members, and healthcare providers, addressing inquiries specific to O'Reilly.
  • Identify and maintain an updated list of qualified medical professionals for the treatment of injured team members.
  • Immediately inform department leadership of any serious accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA reporting standards.
  • Utilize the workers' compensation database and automated claim reporting systems consistently, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Conduct daily maintenance of email correspondence, review medical invoices and work status reports, and manage tasks assigned by Claims Coordinators.
  • Generate and disseminate reports to various departments within the organization.

Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • Proficient in computer usage and office equipment
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities
Desired:Experience in insurance, healthcare, or legal sectorsWillingness to work overtime as needed
