Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Creative Structural Designer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative, unique, and cost-effective temporary and semi-permanent POP displays, store signage, decor, and packaging.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create, design, and output dimensional POP displays and packaging utilizing ArtiosCAD.
  • Output detailed technical documentation.
  • Work with Account Executives and Account Managers across The IMAGINE Group.
  • Collaborate with other creative design team members for rapid ideation.
  • Work closely with the estimating department to determine production costs and savings.
  • Collaborate with production departments to optimize designs for our production capabilities.
  • Meet and work closely with clients in a consultative, ethical, and professional manner.
  • Travel both locally and nationally as required.
  • Work safely and abide by established safety policies and procedures.
  • Identify and follow-up on unsafe conditions.
  • Participate in the implementation of process improvement for internal/external customers through data collection, standardized procedures, and teamwork.
  • Be able to identify factors critical to quality as determined by the customer and translate to production team.
  • This position will float between POP display and packaging work as demand requires.
  • Creation of instruction sheets for your designs.
  • Develop innovative, strategic, and cutting-edge design solutions across mediums from concept through implementation that translate, support, and activate our customer's brands.
  • Oversee production of deliverables while coordinating internal management and timelines.
  • Provide perspectives on design and brands for both internal discussion and client meetings.
  • Participate in the creative and strategic brainstorming process.
  • Stay current with market research and development efforts within the industry, including graphic and visual trends.
  • May accompany Account Executives on occasion to present new products or designs to customers or prospects.
  • Analyze changes in the industry and research innovations in equipment that can be adapted to company operations.
Requirements
  • College degree in industrial design, packaging, or merchandising design, or 5 years design experience with a display/packaging company, or equivalent.
  • ArtiosCAD user required.
  • Experience in projects that use multiple materials (plastics, paperboard, corrugated, motion, lights).
  • Proficiency in digital design software and tools, as well as the creation of typical outputs.
  • A willingness to broaden expertise to other areas of design while refining proficiency in primary abilities.
  • Ability to quickly concept multiple design solutions and evaluate directions.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a highly collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Art and layout preparation.
  • Experience in 3D modeling (SolidWorks).
  • Experience with 3D Printing.
  • Materials research & development.
  • Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Knowledge of Digital Cutters (i.e. Kongsberg, Zund).
  • Knowledge of Engineering.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of Retail environments.
  • Mockup sample creation.
  • Bilingual or multilingual proficiency in any language (including ASL) preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Occasional walking.
  • Manual dexterity for repetitive work.
  • Frequent Sitting for prolonged periods of time working with computers.
  • Travel: as needed by client and The IMAGINE Group.
  • Chemicals: N/A.
  • Setting up displays with product.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull.
Compensation and Benefits

The national pay range for this role is $68,000-$85,000/year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission, or incentive program. The IMAGINE Group offers benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, disability insurance, 401(k) with match, life insurance, and other voluntary supplemental insurance coverages, plus tuition assistance, caregiver leave, adoption assistance, and employer/partner discounts.
