About the Role

As a Media Liaison at The Juilliard School, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing strategic communications plans to promote the school's programs and events;
  • Crafting compelling press releases, media alerts, and other written materials to showcase the school's talented students and faculty;
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to plan and execute high-profile events, including concerts, performances, and exhibitions;
  • Maintaining relationships with local and national media outlets, pitching stories and securing feature coverage;
  • Staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in communications and social media marketing;
Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field (e.g., communications, journalism, public relations);
  • At least 3 years of experience in media relations, communications, or a related field;
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and presentations;
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure;
  • A deep understanding of classical music and its cultural significance;
  • Proficiency in office software, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite;
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality;
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including:
