Position Overview:
The Logistics Coordinator is primarily tasked with overseeing and managing daily operational activities assigned to them.

Under the guidance of the Operations Supervisor, this role involves supervising associates engaged in warehousing, receiving, and shipping activities, aligning with the company's service and cost objectives.

As a member of the DSV team, associates are expected to meet performance, safety, and quality standards.

Compliance with all corporate and site-specific policies is mandatory.



Key Responsibilities:

Training Duties:
- Mentor and train both new and existing associates in distribution activities to meet customer demands.
- Instruct associates on current Standard Operating Procedures, including shipping, receiving, picking, and quality control.
- Assist in forklift operation and certification for associates.

Shipping and Receiving Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate the unloading of inbound shipments, orderly stacking of products, and the picking and staging of outbound shipments to maximize productivity.
- Verify inbound/outbound paperwork with drivers, ensuring accurate product counts.
- Efficiently load orders according to designated doors and trailers, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Investigate any discrepancies in the shipping and receiving process.

Customer Service:
- Maintain a professional demeanor in appearance and communication.
- Engage with customers via phone, electronically, or in person.
- Accurately prepare required activity reports for site management.

Quality Control:
- Ensure all products and orders are received or shipped correctly, and accurately picked using appropriate documentation.
- Verify that products meet quality standards, reporting any damages or discrepancies.
- Participate in quality meetings and address inconsistencies with the Operations Supervisor or Manager.

Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to relevant ISO standards impacting this position and department.
- Execute all safety protocols and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
- Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures, corporate policies, safety rules, and OSHA/MSDS standards.

Labor Management:
- Direct warehouse team operations to achieve set objectives.
- Assist in maintaining a productive workforce and establish work schedules.
- Ensure proper job assignments are completed effectively.

Equipment Operation:
- Operate various equipment safely and efficiently, performing daily inspections and minor maintenance.
- Maintain active forklift certification.

Other Duties:
- Perform clerical and administrative tasks as directed by site management.
- Be flexible to work evenings and weekends as required.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a logistics or distribution environment.
- Ability to operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE).

Skills and Abilities:
- Basic computer skills, including RF scanners and WMS functions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Effective communication skills across all organizational levels.

Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Proven forklift experience and current MHE certification.

Physical Demands:
- Regularly lift and/or move objects up to 55 pounds.

Work Environment:
- Exposure to varying weather conditions and moderate dust or airborne particles.
