Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and structured Logistics Inventory Coordinator to join our team at MP Materials Corp. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory counts, supporting timely month-end closing activities, and acting as a liaison between Operations and Finance for inventory control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a liaison between Operations, Logistics, the Lab, and Engineering for accurate inventory reporting.
  • Maintain packaging logs for 6+ products at MP Materials.
  • Conduct finished product inventory cycle counts.
  • Ensure packaging logs are accurately filled out by Operations and turned in, verifying that ERP System (SAP) quantity matches.
  • Identify lots within SAP that are still unrestricted and track down any discrepancies/missing samples between Operations and the Lab.
  • Report inventory availability/lists of available lots to Logistics Coordinators for outbound shipments.
  • Liaise between Accounting and Logistics for any month-end close discrepancies.
  • Count/monitor pallets used in product shipments for month-end inventory reconciliation and adjustments.
  • Run the month-end reports for all products and produce final inventory roll-forward to the Accounting department.
  • Communicate with external parties involved in month-end closing for accuracy of quantities.
  • Create Purchase Requisitions in ERP Systems (SAP) for any requirements for Logistics team.
  • Enter in goods receipts and goods issues in SAP for the finished product transactions with customers.
  • Act as a backup to Logistics Coordinators for inbound or outbound shipments.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive role in inventory management, sales, or related logistics field.

  • Highly organized and structured.
  • Effective communicator able to adjust to the situation and audience.
  • Team player with positive attitude willing to take on additional responsibilities to complete the task.
  • Ability to influence without holding a leadership role.
  • Ability to drive change while following guidance/direction.
  • Hands-on collaborator, who can act independently.
  • A strong collaborator across the business, Supply Chain, and other support Functions.
  • Has the courage to speak up in a positive and non-threatening fashion to suggest improvements.
  • Applies strong personal integrity and has a high service orientation.
  • Willingness to commute to the site daily.
  • SAP, Excel, Microsoft Office experience a plus.
