Pharmacy Technician I

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician I to join our team at The Chickasaw Nation Refill Center. As a Pharmacy Technician I, you will provide administrative and technical support to our Pharmacy Department, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, responding to inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Partner with internal and external services to ensure seamless referrals and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, files, and logs, adhering to HIPAA regulations and Chickasaw Nation policies.
  • Assist pharmacists with filling and labeling prescriptions, communicating with prescribers and their agents to obtain refill authorizations.
  • Check for out-of-date drugs, put orders away, and prepackage medications in accordance with Pharmacy policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to operate related office equipment.
  • Accurate typing skills, with a minimum of 25 words per minute.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with potential exposure to biohazards and contagious diseases.
  • Pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
Working Conditions:
  • Fast-paced hospital or clinic environment.
  • Potential exposure to biohazards and contagious diseases.
  • Communications phone, computer, and written/verbal communication skills required.
  • May be required to assist individuals who are emotionally disturbed.
  • Interacts with clinical, support, technical, professional, or management staff in a variety of settings and situations.
