Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at the Cancer Center. As a Pharmacy Technician - Sterile Compounding Specialist, you will assist in the provision of pharmaceutical compounded products to various customers by complying with Federal, State, and U.S. Pharmacopeia requirements.

Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, you will perform sterile compounding tasks, including high-risk/hazardous compounding. You will also provide functional supervision of technicians, ensure required departmental functions are completed, and assist the pharmacist in preparing medications. Additionally, you will precept new hires and technician students, and mentor technicians in learning new tasks.

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a pharmacy technician required. Minimum of 2 years of sterile compounding experience required. Licensed as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy. Pass the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam or accepted national certification program. Completed competencies in sterile compounding, including hazardous compounding.

Work Environment:

This opportunity is located in the Boise Cancer Treatment Center. The position will be Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts. There will be no nights or weekend hours.
