Position: Plant Manager

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily operations of the production facility, ensuring adherence to production timelines and maintaining high-quality manufacturing standards.
  • Evaluate and enhance production workflows to boost efficiency, minimize waste, and ensure consistent product quality.
  • Guarantee the availability of essential resources, including raw materials, machinery, and workforce, to achieve production goals.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), FDA regulations, and other pertinent industry standards across all manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs teams to prepare for and navigate audits and inspections by regulatory bodies.
  • Stay informed about industry regulations and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
  • Establish and oversee comprehensive quality control systems to ensure products meet or exceed regulatory and customer expectations.
  • Work with the Quality Assurance team to investigate and address any quality concerns or deviations.
  • Promote continuous improvement in quality processes to reduce defects and ensure product uniformity.
  • Encourage a safety-oriented culture within the facility by enforcing safety protocols, conducting regular safety assessments, and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and other safety standards.
  • Implement and oversee environmental management initiatives to ensure adherence to environmental regulations and sustainability objectives.
  • Lead efforts to minimize waste, emissions, and energy usage within the plant.
  • Guide, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of supervisors, technicians, and production personnel.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide coaching and feedback, and create development plans for plant staff.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive workplace that promotes innovation, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Develop and manage the plant's budget, encompassing costs related to labor, materials, utilities, and maintenance.
  • Identify and implement cost-reduction strategies while ensuring product quality and compliance.
  • Prepare and present financial and operational reports to senior management, emphasizing key performance indicators and areas for enhancement.
  • Coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure timely and efficient procurement of raw materials and components.
  • Manage inventory levels to align production needs with cost-effectiveness, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve any issues related to material quality or delivery.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment, ensuring all machinery operates efficiently and reliably.
  • Plan and execute plant upgrades, expansions, or new equipment installations as necessary to meet production demands.
  • Ensure the facility is well-maintained and compliant with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices, implementing relevant innovations in the plant.
  • Lead process optimization projects to enhance production throughput and minimize downtime.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, Chemistry, Business Management, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of GMP, FDA regulations, and other relevant pharmaceutical industry standards.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to inspire and develop a diverse workforce.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
