Position Summary

As the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our production facility, ensuring that production timelines are adhered to and that products are manufactured to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations of the production facility, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality benchmarks.
  • Analyze and enhance production processes to boost efficiency, minimize waste, and uphold product quality.
  • Guarantee the availability of essential resources, including raw materials, equipment, and personnel, to achieve production goals.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), FDA regulations, and other pertinent industry standards.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs teams to prepare for and manage audits and inspections.
  • Stay informed about industry regulations and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
  • Establish and oversee comprehensive quality control systems to ensure products meet or exceed regulatory and customer expectations.
  • Work with the Quality Assurance team to address and resolve quality concerns or deviations.
  • Encourage a culture of safety by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular safety audits.
  • Implement environmental management initiatives to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability objectives.
  • Lead efforts to reduce waste, emissions, and energy consumption within the facility.
  • Guide, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of supervisors, technicians, and production staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and create development plans for team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes innovation and accountability.
  • Manage the plant's budget, focusing on labor, materials, utilities, and maintenance costs.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving strategies while maintaining product quality and compliance.
  • Prepare and present operational reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for enhancement.
  • Coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure timely procurement of raw materials and components.
  • Manage inventory levels to align production needs with cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment to ensure efficient operations.
  • Plan and execute upgrades, expansions, or new equipment installations as required.
  • Ensure the facility is well-maintained and compliant with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements, implementing relevant innovations.
  • Lead projects aimed at optimizing processes to improve production throughput and minimize downtime.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, Chemistry, Business Management, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of GMP, FDA regulations, and other relevant industry standards.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate a diverse workforce.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, focused on continuous improvement.
