We are in search of a seasoned Plant Manager to oversee the operations of our manufacturing facility. This role is crucial for managing daily activities within the plant. The ideal candidate will possess a solid history of production management, quality assurance, equipment maintenance, and compliance with safety and environmental standards. The Plant Manager will guide a team, streamline production processes, and play a significant role in meeting the organization's objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations of the plant, including production timelines, workforce management, and resource distribution. Ensure that production activities are efficient and adhere to quality benchmarks. Develop and enforce procedures and best practices to enhance plant performance.
- Leadership Development: Direct, mentor, and oversee plant personnel, including production staff, supervisors, and maintenance teams. Conduct performance assessments, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate employee growth. Promote a positive and efficient workplace culture.
- Quality Control: Ensure compliance with quality assurance protocols and standards. Address and rectify quality-related issues or deviations from established procedures. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to guarantee product adherence to specifications and regulations.
- Equipment Management: Supervise the upkeep and repair of plant machinery and equipment to maintain optimal functionality. Coordinate with maintenance teams for routine and urgent repairs. Establish and manage preventive maintenance initiatives.
- Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that plant operations comply with safety regulations, corporate policies, and industry standards. Conduct safety training and enforce safety practices. Monitor environmental compliance and manage related documentation.
- Process Optimization: Identify areas for process enhancements and cost reduction. Introduce new technologies, processes, and methodologies to improve production efficiency. Analyze production metrics to drive continuous improvement efforts.
- Financial Oversight: Develop and oversee the plant's budget, including operational and capital expenditures. Monitor financial performance and implement cost control strategies. Prepare financial reports and analyses for upper management.
- Interdepartmental Communication: Effectively communicate with other departments, such as logistics, supply chain, and research and development, to align plant operations with business goals. Report on plant performance, challenges, and improvements to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- 5-8 years of experience in plant management and leadership roles.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety regulations.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated experience in plant management with a strong foundation in warehouse operations.
