The County of Marin is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Sheriff's Service Assistant. This non-sworn law enforcement position will provide administrative and customer service support to the Marin County Sheriff's Office.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to the public, inmates, and law enforcement personnel
- Perform administrative tasks, including data entry, record-keeping, and filing
- Assist with bail processing, money handling, and inmate record maintenance
- Operate and monitor controls to ensure safe movement of personnel within the jail
- Work variable shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
- One year of experience in a customer service, public contact, or office support position
- Education and/or training in a field related to the position may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
