Payroll Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Accountant to join our team at Addison Group. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for administering payroll for federal and donated employees, maintaining time-reporting systems, and ensuring accurate and timely payment of employees.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, reconciliation, and accounting, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. You will be responsible for processing bi-weekly payrolls, preparing payroll journal entries, and reconciling payroll-related accounts.
In addition to your technical skills, you will possess excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, supervisors, and HR personnel. Key Responsibilities- Administer payroll for federal and donated employees
- Maintain time-reporting systems for federal (Kronos) and donated (UltiPro) employees
- Process bi-weekly payrolls and ensure accurate and timely payment of employees
- Prepare payroll journal entries, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accruals
- Reconcile and/or analyze all payroll-related accounts
- Review Quarterly Processor reports and coordinate final W-2/W-3 production
- Understand imputed costs, FECA, and unemployment, and coordinate with HR and Federal agencies
- Prepare financial reports, statements, and analyses as directed
- 5+ years of experience in payroll processing, reconciliation, and accounting
- Strong background in payroll processing, reconciliation, and accounting
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively with employees, supervisors, and HR personnel
