Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to enhance our corporate operations. This role requires a diverse skill set to support our seasoned team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Estimating department by collecting pricing, manufacturer information, and lead times for materials essential to project needs.
  • Analyzing data to ensure optimal pricing and lead times are achieved.
  • Evaluating market trends, supplier performance, and cost data to inform purchasing strategies.
  • Conducting research and aiding in the procurement of pricing for materials and services.
  • Submitting documentation for customer approval on unapproved materials.
  • Collaborating closely with the material manager and on-site coordinators.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing vendors while identifying new suppliers to enhance ISC's capabilities.
  • Understanding the specifications, standards, and requirements for electrical components and materials.
  • Negotiating prices and terms with suppliers to secure the best value.
  • Coordinating procurement activities with project schedules to ensure timely material delivery.
  • Problem-solving to address and resolve issues arising during the procurement process.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of vendor sourcing in the electrical sector.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills for data analysis.
  • Customer service-focused with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience in procurement or purchasing is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Vista software is advantageous but not mandatory.
