Manufacturing Operations Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead our production team at Soaring Bird Solutions.
About the Role: As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of manufacturing, ensuring timely delivery, and meeting productivity goals. You will also be responsible for managing staff, implementing process improvements, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Direct, coordinate, and supervise production activities and staff to achieve on-time delivery and meet projected costs.
- Process Improvement: Develop, establish, and implement long-range and short-term plans, and operative policies related to manufacturing.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between management and supervisory levels, keeping personnel informed on matters of communication, discussions, and policies.
- Quality Control: Review travelers, directives, and work instructions, including safety procedures.
- Performance Monitoring: Review departmental labor, scrap, and indirect material cost performance versus established goals.
- Training and Development: Conduct training sessions and ensure staff is properly trained.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Track progress of all work orders and provide weekly updates on delivery status.
- Employee Performance: Monitor employee activity to ensure adherence to safety and plant policies.
- Problem-Solving: Communicate issues affecting schedule or cost.
- System Maintenance: Ensure system counts and receipts are performed as required.
- Collaboration: Interface with other company personnel regarding scheduling and problem solutions.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Business Acumen: Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Production Expertise: Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Analytical Skills: Use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
- Communication: Talk to others to convey information effectively.
- Reliability: Reliable, responsible, and dependable in fulfilling obligations.
Education and Experience: A two-year degree with 5 years of experience as a production supervisor or within the production environment is preferred.

Salary: Estimated salary range $80,000 - $110,000 per year based on industry standards and location.
