Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Specialist to join our team at Continental Disc Corporation. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for manufacturing and machining parts for use in rupture disc assemblies.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, FSA, and 401K with match eligible day one.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manufacture and machine parts according to company procedures and safety policies.
  • Determine setup requirements, sequence of operations, and tolerance of finished parts using blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and instructions.
  • Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material as needed to set guides for subsequent machining.
  • Verify conformance of finished parts to specifications using precision measuring equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints.
  • Intermediate math and reading skills.
  • Working knowledge of Okuma lathes, mills, and other industrial equipment used in the machine shop.
  • Heavy Okuma lathe experience required.
  • Ability to modify CNC programs and motor skills sufficient to successfully and safely use required tools and machinery.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for majority of scheduled shift, typically 8-10 hours per day, though possibly more when overtime is required.
  • Using proper lifting techniques, ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and safety shoes.
  • Willingness and ability to follow all manufacturing procedures and company policies.
  • Attention to detail, concern for quality, accuracy, and safety.
  • Ability to stay on task and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well with others, including peers, supervisors, executive management, and outside vendors, representatives, and visitors when called upon.
  • High school diploma or GED, certificate in CIMM or related industrial technology preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience in a job shop or similar high-mix, low volume production environment.
