True Friends is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team in the roles of Custodian and Culinary Support at our facility. Candidates should possess experience in either cleaning or kitchen services (such as cooking or dishwashing) and will receive training to assist in various capacities as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely handle cleaning and kitchen chemicals and tools while maintaining inventory and adhering to health regulations.
  • Monitor the condition of all equipment, facilities, and communal areas, reporting any issues to management promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding cleaning, culinary, and hosting needs, including scheduling adjustments and guest requirements.
  • Facilitate team-building activities and games, providing instruction and supervision, and participate in debriefing sessions.
  • Assist in the preparation and setup of event spaces, guest check-in and check-out, and meal preparation according to established recipes.
  • Perform general and deep cleaning tasks in various areas, ensuring minimal environmental impact.
  • Engage positively with guests, participants, colleagues, and supervisors.
  • Contribute to the success and development of programs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to walk, sit, stand, bend, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and move continuously during work hours.
  • Effective verbal communication skills are required.
  • Ability to feel objects and use fingers to operate tools and controls.
  • Must be able to wear and remain secured in a harness for extended periods.

Work Environment:

  • Work will take place both indoors and outdoors.
  • May involve precarious or elevated locations.
  • Experience in a commercial kitchen setting.
  • Potential exposure to challenging behaviors from program participants.

Qualifications:

  • Must pass an organizational background check.
  • Prior experience in customer service, cleaning, kitchen operations, and behavior management is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • A high school diploma is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently when necessary.
  • Capability to work with individuals of all ages and abilities.

Note: As a condition of employment, all employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or agree to weekly testing.
