True Friends is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team in the role of Custodial and Culinary Services at our facility. Candidates should possess experience in either cleaning or food preparation (cook/dishwasher) and will receive training to support various roles as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely handle cleaning and food service chemicals and tools while maintaining inventory and adhering to health regulations.
  • Monitor the condition of all equipment, cabins, meeting spaces, and team-building areas, reporting any issues to management promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding team-building, food service, housekeeping, and hosting needs, including scheduling adjustments and guest requirements.
  • Facilitate team-building activities through instruction and supervision, participating in debriefing sessions.
  • Assist in the setup and review of event spaces, guest check-in and check-out, and meal preparation according to established recipes.
  • Perform general and deep cleaning tasks in the kitchen, dining hall, cabins, and community buildings while minimizing environmental impact.
  • Engage positively with participants, guests, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • Contribute to the success and further development of programs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Required to walk, sit, stand, bend, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and move continuously during working hours.
  • Must be able to hear and communicate verbally.
  • Required to feel objects and use fingers to operate tools and controls.
  • Must be able to wear and remain in a seat harness for extended periods.

Work Environment:

  • Work both indoors and outdoors.
  • Exposure to precarious or high locations.
  • Experience in a commercial kitchen setting.
  • May encounter physical aggression and challenging behaviors from program participants.

Qualifications:

  • Must pass an organizational background study.
  • Previous experience in customer service, housekeeping, food service, and behavior management is desirable.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Ability to work independently when necessary.
  • Capability to engage with individuals of all ages and abilities.

Note: As a condition of employment, all employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or agree to weekly testing.
