Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic Coach to join our team at Montana Tech. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing academic support and guidance to students, helping them to achieve their academic goals and succeed in their studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist students in identifying barriers to their academic success and develop individualized plans to overcome these challenges.
  • Work directly with students to explore effective study strategies and provide regular support and guidance.
  • Collaborate with faculty, advisors, and other campus resources to provide wrap-around services for students.
  • Use EAB Navigate system to track student progress and identify areas where additional support is needed.
  • Develop and present workshops and lessons on academic success strategies and college readiness.
  • Assess the effectiveness of coaching sessions and workshops and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle competing demands.
  • Ability to listen effectively and work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background similar to participants.
  • Experience working in higher education environment.
  • Experience working with underrepresented students.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to chaperone student field trips.
  • Ability to work extended hours during peak event times and annual performance reporting season.
