SUMMARY

M. A. Mortenson is seeking a skilled Electrical Project Coordinator to join our Power Delivery Services Group. This role requires the ability to engage with diverse teams in a dynamic setting, demonstrating flexibility, resourcefulness, and professionalism. The ideal candidate will possess the foresight to identify challenges and opportunities, employing creative problem-solving skills to develop effective solutions. This position involves overseeing and coordinating electrical teams on solar project sites.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Willingness to travel extensively.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee electrical project tasks at solar sites.
  • Collaborate with the Electrical Superintendent on material and equipment planning.
  • Assist in developing project timelines and updates.
  • Ensure teams are equipped with necessary resources.
  • Supervise quality control for both in-house and subcontracted work.
  • Participate in project meetings, serving as a liaison between engineers and contractors.
  • Lead and mentor the electrical team.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Monitor team performance and project progress.
  • Implement safety protocols at project sites.
  • Maintain professional relationships with all site visitors.
  • Efficiently manage site logistics and suggest improvements.
  • Oversee subcontractor management and budget recommendations.
  • Facilitate coordination meetings among subcontractors.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to travel extensively to various locations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Understanding of construction law and business practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Positive attitude with strong customer service skills.
  • Minimum of five years in construction or supervisory roles, particularly in medium and high-voltage projects.
  • Experience with self-performed projects.
  • Valid driver's license required.
