As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling used agricultural equipment to a diverse range of clients, including jockeys, wholesalers, inline dealers, and competitive dealers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to target and sell used agricultural equipment to a broad spectrum of dealers across various regions.
- Actively engage with clients to establish strong relationships and understand their unique needs.
- Handle sales transactions that span coast to coast, including some international exports, expanding the dealership's reach and market influence.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the features, benefits, and unique selling points of John Deere's used agricultural equipment.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales targets by effectively negotiating deals and closing sales with various stakeholders in the agricultural equipment market.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new sales opportunities and stay ahead in the industry.
- Develop long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and foster a positive reputation for the dealership.
- Provide regular reports on sales activities, market trends, and customer feedback to management for strategic planning.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the agricultural equipment industry.
- Strong understanding of the wholesale market and ability to engage effectively with various types of dealers.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel extensively and manage sales across different regions.
- Knowledge of John Deere agricultural equipment is highly advantageous.
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
- Ability to meet physical demands and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform tasks in support of all job functions.
