Job Summary

The Agricultural Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of agricultural equipment, including applicators, tractors, and other machinery. This position requires a strong understanding of crop protection principles and the ability to apply herbicides and pesticides in a controlled and precise manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate agricultural equipment, including applicators, tractors, and other machinery, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Apply herbicides and pesticides to labeled crops in accordance with company guidelines and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of application activities, including log books and field maps.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration on application equipment.
  • Participate in continuing education and training programs to maintain pesticide applicator certification.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless execution of crop protection plans.
  • Adhere to company safety protocols and procedures to minimize exposure to hazardous materials and equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience operating agricultural equipment and applying herbicides and pesticides preferred.
  • Class B CDL required; Class A CDL preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds regularly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
