Dixon Valve is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to oversee all aspects of purchasing with domestic and international suppliers. This individual will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and tracking purchase orders through the purchasing process. They will also input changes into the purchasing system, including inventory purchase orders, price changes, and system updates. Additionally, they will prepare and file purchasing-related documents and procure materials, equipment, and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of contract negotiations and be able to ensure that contracts with suppliers and vendors are consistent with corporate objectives. Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing, reviewing, and tracking purchase orders through the purchasing process
* Inputting changes into the purchasing system, including inventory purchase orders, price changes, and system updates
* Preparing and filing purchasing-related documents
* Procuring materials, equipment, and services
* Participating in contract negotiations
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, leadership, or a business role. A bachelor's degree is required, and sales or manufacturing experience is preferred. Strong computer skills and excellent communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate will also have experience in negotiating vendor pricing and measuring vendor quality and delivery performance. Familiarity with Logility or similar forecasting systems is a plus, and CSCP certification is desired.
