Job Summary

Baystate Health is seeking a highly skilled HRIS Operations Specialist to oversee the workflow, compliance, and systemic transactions from the point an applicant accepts an offer forward through day one of hire. This role combines Workday transactional experience with administrative People Operations processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the preboarding and onboarding process, ensuring a seamless transition for new hires.
  • Oversee the completion of Workday onboarding, including primary source verification of licenses and certifications.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors for referencing, background checks, and verification of education requirements.
  • Process hire and transfer transactions, including changes in start date and hire rescinds in Workday.
  • Communicate with candidates and internal stakeholders regarding background checks and offer rescinds.
  • Participate in new hire orientation and the completion of the I-9 & eVerify.
  • Adhere to standard work processes and established turnaround times.
  • Initiate and participate in performance improvement activities related to workflow, onboarding, diversity hires, and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain familiarity with application data flow and comprehension of how inputted information affects downstream departments.
  • Measure touch time and flow time to ensure compliance with standard.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of high-volume HR experience and 1+ year of customer service experience.
  • Experience with Workday and proficiency with HCM.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Typing proficiency and intermediate level user of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of HR laws and state and federal hiring documents.
  • Ability to project plan, prioritize, multitask, delegate, lead, and meet deadlines.
