Job Title: Direct Support Professional

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team. As a Direct Support Professional, you will be a personal supporter and life coach focused on skill-building and equal employment opportunities for persons with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a mentor, teacher, role model, and advocate for people with disabilities.
  • Help individuals reach their full potential by providing support and guidance in various aspects of their lives.
  • Develop and implement personalized plans to help individuals achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
  • Provide support and assistance with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
  • Assist individuals in developing and maintaining life skills, such as money management, safety, and time management.
  • Connect individuals with community resources and services to support their needs and goals.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people served and team members.
  • Ability to work in a variety of locations and perform different jobs based on the needs of the individuals served.
  • Desire to make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities.

Physical Demands:

  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, grab, and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
