About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building relationships with key customers, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect for new business opportunities within our target market, including pool and spa retailers, pool builders, and maintenance firms.
  • Cold call on prospective clients and develop targeted marketing campaigns to reach new customers.
  • Qualify sales leads and make professional presentations to potential clients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customer personnel to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide quotes and product data as needed by customers and close sales to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Support operations and accounts receivable efforts to ensure seamless customer service.
  • Collaborate with sales center, regional, and divisional managers to drive business growth and achieve sales objectives.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in professional-level business-to-business sales.
  • Proven track record of successful sales in a wholesale environment.
  • Ability to cold call on prospective clients and develop targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Strong knowledge of one or more of the following product lines: pool-related equipment, plumbing supplies, tile, decking, exterior lighting, patio furniture, construction materials, building supplies, chemicals, landscaping/irrigation supplies, HVAC supplies, or similar tangible goods.
  • Holds a valid driver's license and has a satisfactory driving record.
  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of AMP or similar customer management system preferred.
  • Knowledge of Prelude or similar inventory control software helpful.
