Land Acquisition Manager

Lennar Homes is seeking a skilled Land Acquisition Manager to assist in the acquisition of land, lots, and development opportunities that align with our company's growth strategies and market trends in land development and homebuilding.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify potential land acquisition targets through thorough analysis of tax maps and networking with real estate brokers, landowners, and other industry professionals.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Land to facilitate due diligence and schedule activities to ensure timely completion of contracted projects.
  • Participate in weekly land acquisition meetings and provide updates to the Division President and VP of Land and Development on potential deals in progress.
  • Assist in rezoning processes, attend meetings with government officials, engineers, and homeowners, and maintain inventory reports, critical dates, contract summaries, and periodic market analysis.
  • Network with other builders and developers to maintain market awareness, develop key contacts, and become a strong competitor in our market area.
  • Assist management in negotiating terms and specifics of purchase and sale agreements and work with the Division's outside attorney on land contracts.
  • Work with the region attorney to acquire necessary approvals for contract signing.
  • Update the 5-year plan monthly with the VP of Land and VP of Finance.
  • Provide weekly contract status reports for the division.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Degree in business administration, engineering, accounting, finance, or a similar program preferred.
  • Computer literacy, including word-processing, spreadsheet analysis, project scheduling, and data management software.
  • Knowledge of sales and negotiating principles and real estate.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must exercise initiative and achieve objectives with minimal supervision.
  • Must be detail-oriented and a problem-solver able to deal with complex situations.
  • Valid Driver's License and a good driving record.
  • Valid auto insurance coverage.
