Job Title:

Residential Specialist I

Job Summary:

Mental Health Connecticut, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Specialist I to join our team. This is a full-time, 30-hour work-week position that requires a strong commitment to providing exceptional care and support to individuals with mental health needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Engage with individuals in recovery to promote participation in programs and activities
  • Document all activities, communications, and encounters with individuals in recovery
  • Orient individuals to available programs and services
  • Teach and assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) skills to maintain a clean and orderly environment
  • Implement Individual Recovery Plans (IRPs) and monitor progress
  • Monitor and document self-administration of medications
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals in recovery
  • Communicate with supervisory staff and provide emergent program site coverage as needed
Requirements:
  • GED or High School Diploma required
  • Experience in community mental health preferred
  • Knowledge of the Sanctuary Model and trauma-informed care practices preferred
