Mental Health Connecticut, Inc. is seeking a Residential Specialist I to join our team in the Torrington area. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the needs of individuals with services available to them, documenting and delivering services to persons in recovery, and ensuring the safety of individuals in their residence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with persons in recovery to ensure participation in programs and activities.
  • Document all activities, communications, and encounters with individuals in recovery.
  • Ensure the safety of individuals in their residence through proper supervision of the site.
  • Orient individuals to the program available to them.
  • Responsible for maintaining specific activity and progress reports.
  • Teach and assist Activities of Daily Living (ADL) skills to maintain a clean and orderly environment.
  • Implement the Individual Recovery Plan (IRP).
  • Monitor the safety of individuals in recovery in their residences through proper supervision of the sites.
  • Communicate immediate concerns with supervisory staff.
  • Provide emergent program site coverage when necessary.
  • Attend trainings and meetings as required.
  • Perceive Problems and initiate timely corrective actions.
Requirements
  • GED or High School Diploma required.
  • Experience in community mental health preferred.
  • Experience working with Young Adults preferred.
  • Valid CT driver's license, auto insurance, and registration.
