**Chief-Division of Medical Physics:**

• Oversees the medical physics departments across the BayCare system, ensuring seamless operations and high-quality patient care.

• Provides visionary leadership by contributing to strategic planning and decision-making with clinical institute leadership; demonstrates scholarly activities through research, publications, and participation in professional organizations.

• Mentors and supports the growth of physicists, overseeing complex clinical operations of radiation treatment services, including external beam, proton therapy, brachytherapy, and radio-pharmaceutical treatments.

• Has clinical responsibilities and assists with the development and application of departmental policies, quality improvement initiatives to deliver exceptional patient care in a collaborative healthcare environment.

• Works closely with the Radiation Oncology Medical Assistant and Radiation Oncologists in accreditation processes and ensures adherence to regulatory standards and best practices.

• Plays a critical role in overseeing both the operational and financial aspects of the medical physics department, ensuring efficient resource management, adherence to budgetary constraints, and alignment with organizational objectives.

**Requirements:**

• PhD in physics or medical physics and 7 or more years of experience in medical physics, including 3 years of proton experience, or MSc in physics or medical physics and 10 or more years of experience in medical physics, including 3 years of proton experience.

• State of Florida Licensed Medical Physicist and American Board of Radiology Certified in Therapeutic Medical Physics.

• Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills, and delivering patient-centered care.

• Successfully handles challenges through conflict resolution, project management, and delegation.
