Job Summary

Empowered Staffing is seeking a seasoned Vice President of Finance to join their team in a rapidly growing healthcare organization. As a key player on the Executive team, you will lead financial planning and reporting, revenue cycle, cash management, and budgeting functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Leadership: Oversee the financial operations of the organization, including accounting, budgeting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, and revenue cycle management.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement financial strategies that support the company's growth and operational goals.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Oversee the annual budgeting process and develop accurate financial forecasts. Monitor financial performance against the budget and identify variances for corrective actions.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Present financial results and key performance indicators (KPIs) to the executive team and board of directors.
  • Revenue Cycle Management: Optimize the revenue cycle process to ensure timely billing and collections, reducing days in accounts receivable and improving cash flow.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement policies. Identify and mitigate financial risks to protect the organization's assets.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions: Support and lead financial due diligence, valuation, and integration efforts for potential acquisitions and expansions.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Operational Efficiency: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, reduce costs, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial leadership roles in the skilled nursing industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare financial management, including Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement.
  • Proven track record in strategic financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and integration in the healthcare sector.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills.
