Role Summary:


The Ramp Operations Specialist thrives in a dynamic environment, executing tasks related to ramp operations and ensuring the smooth and safe operation of flights.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Load and unload baggage and cargo, transporting items to designated airport locations.
2. Distribute essential documentation to flight crews, including fuel slips, load plans, cargo manifests, and flight releases.
3. Marshal and push back aircraft as required.

4. Prepare weight and balance forms and ensure load integrity by accurately entering commodity codes and weights into a data system.

5. Provide necessary aircraft services, including lavatory and potable water service, aircraft cleaning, de-icing, and security inspections.

6. Operate various types of equipment, such as belt-loaders, tugs, air-start units, baggage carts, lavatory carts, and de-ice trucks.

7. Execute aircraft towing operations when necessary.
8. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Additional Information:


To obtain an airport badge, candidates must provide a certified copy of their birth certificate or passport, along with a valid driver's license.


Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills:
Required:
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods.
- Capability to bend, stoop, squat, reach, and grasp.
- Proficiency in basic mathematics.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Willingness to participate in paid training that may involve overnight travel.
- Ability to obtain USPS Mail Handling Certification.
- Capability to secure airport security clearance.
- Proficiency in English communication.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Airport SIDA Badge Requirements:
Important information for non-crew employees working at an airport or maintenance facility:

Employees must obtain a SIDA badge issued by the airport authority and maintain good standing to retain their SIDA badge.

USD $18.82/Hr
