Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Manager to join our team in the Washington, DC area. As a Senior Risk Manager, you will be responsible for conducting risk assessments, collecting and analyzing documentation, statistics, reports, and market trends. You will also establish policies and procedures to identify and address risks in our organization's services and departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and analyze data to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address risks, and develop risk mitigation plans.
  • Provide risk management guidance and support to senior leadership and program staff.
  • Develop and present risk reports and proposals to executive program leadership and senior program staff.
  • Supervise and mentor subordinate project staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Five or more years of experience in risk management, project management, or a related field.
  • Experience with project management, specifically managing schedules and risk.
  • Experience supporting Federal acquisition programs.
  • Experience with implementing risk management processes, tools, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of risk management coordination across stakeholders to draft risk statements, validate impacts of risks, and present in PowerPoint and dashboard.
  • Ability to identify, track, and monitor risk, and develop Risk Mitigation Plans in accordance with risk management principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Relevant industry standard certifications such as Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification.

Clearance Requirements

  • This position requires an active Top Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
