Role Summary

The Senior Risk Management Consultant will play a pivotal role in guiding the risk assessment process across multiple districts. This position requires a high level of expertise and is designed for a seasoned professional with a strong background in public sector risk management. The consultant will oversee the assessment teams, ensuring the technical integrity and quality of the evaluations conducted.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the development and refinement of risk assessment methodologies in collaboration with local experts.
  2. Conduct comprehensive reviews of existing public finance management systems.
  3. Provide strategic oversight and technical guidance throughout the assessment process.
  4. Analyze data collected from various sites and prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
  5. Facilitate workshops and discussions to incorporate feedback and enhance methodologies.
  6. Collaborate closely with local teams to ensure effective communication and project alignment.
  7. Ensure compliance with international standards and best practices in risk management.

Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in relevant fields such as public administration, finance, or international development.
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in public sector auditing or development projects.
  • Proven track record in conducting risk assessments and audits for international development organizations.
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of public sector internal controls and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a remote team environment.
