Wheeling Linen Service, Inc. is a leading provider of linen rental supply and commercial laundry services to the hospitality, healthcare, and small business sectors.

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our production and warehouse functions, ensuring seamless execution of our supply chain strategies and maintaining a culture of safety and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with external facilities to manage incoming deliveries and cross-docking activities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency and productivity
  • Establish operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Develop production schedules to utilize equipment and employees effectively, maximizing output and minimizing waste
  • Maintain accurate warehouse inventories, ensuring timely and efficient stock management
  • Develop, implement, and train employees on 5S programs to promote a culture of organization and efficiency
  • Schedule, train, and mentor all associates, fostering a culture of growth and development
  • Coordinate and ensure all corporate training guidelines are being met for all associates, promoting a culture of excellence
  • Oversee all production metrics, developing long-term and short-term goals to maximize efficiencies and reach company productivity standards
  • Maintain a culture of safety, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees
  • Manage all stock room movements, including stockroom inventory and security, to prevent loss and ensure accuracy

Requirements

  • Conflict resolution and training are key components for this position, requiring strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Creative and action-oriented problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box
  • Strong listening and communication skills, with the ability to facilitate free exchange of ideas and foster a culture of collaboration
  • Ability to lead and motivate by example, with a strong sense of accountability and responsibility
  • Multi-building management experience, with the ability to manage and coordinate across multiple sites
  • Ability to create an environment of trust, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfortable communicating with all levels of management, with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop a continuous improvement-focused culture, with a strong commitment to excellence and innovation
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds, with a strong physical presence and stamina
  • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, with a strong educational background and foundation
