RETAIL OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR – Full-Time
We are seeking full-time Retail Operations Supervisors who are passionate, dynamic, approachable, and dedicated.

The Retail Operations Supervisor is tasked with delivering outstanding sales and customer service aimed at enhancing the store's efficiency and profitability.

This role involves providing customers with tailored product suggestions and solutions through proactive engagement, while also exemplifying best practices in retail execution.

The primary focus of the Retail Operations Supervisor is on driving sales, fostering service excellence, and building lasting relationships with customers.

In this leadership capacity, the Retail Operations Supervisor shares product insights, assimilates store communications, and manages daily responsibilities as delegated by the Store Manager, including the essential duties of opening and/or closing the store.

Additional responsibilities include overseeing inventory management processes, executing product displays, restocking merchandise, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with stockroom tasks as required.

The Retail Operations Supervisor collaborates closely with the corporate store team and reports directly to the Store Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Creating and sustaining a welcoming, user-friendly shopping atmosphere.
  • Building and sharing knowledge about products, promotions, services, and brand loyalty programs tailored to meet diverse shopper needs and occasions.
  • Supporting store management and the team in achieving operational goals.
  • Assisting customers in discovering the ideal card and gift options to express their sentiments.
  • Sharing narratives and community stories that promote kindness and connection.
  • Facilitating a seamless shopping experience by efficiently managing store operations, including product replenishment, merchandising, processing transactions, managing inventory, fulfilling orders, and conducting curbside deliveries.
  • Delivering an exceptional shopping experience that inspires customers to return.
  • Collaborating as a team to achieve store sales targets, ensuring each customer leaves satisfied.
  • Adhering to all company policies and procedures.
  • Completing additional tasks or special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:
  • Minimum of one (1) year of relevant retail experience, sales, or customer service.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Availability to open and close the store at least three (3) times per week, including two (2) weekend shifts per month.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that accommodates business needs, including events, holidays, evenings, and weekends.
  • Proof of eligibility to work legally in the United States.
PREFERRED:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in specialty retail, sales, or customer service.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Strong customer engagement and consultative selling abilities.
  • Effective communication skills with customers and team members.
  • Demonstrated urgency, adaptability, and flexibility.
  • Ability to accept feedback and act accordingly.
  • Proficiency in using computers and technology.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the business.
  • Accountability for managing store cash and product assets.
  • Ability to assist in training new employees and collaborate with management on operational changes.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Must be able to stand/walk continuously, push/pull, and lift/carry up to 10 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, and lifting/carrying up to 40 pounds.
  • Occasional balancing on uneven surfaces and lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Exposure to various working conditions, including dust, cleaning agents, and varying temperatures.
EMPLOYMENT STATUS
This is a regular, full-time, hourly position classified as "non-exempt" under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), typically requiring 40 hours of work per week.
