Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will assist with direct patient care duties, including vital sign collection, medication administration, and diagnostic testing. You will also maintain supply inventory levels, clean and maintain medical equipment, and perform other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
  • Room patients, take and document vital signs, and prepare patients for provider exams.
  • Administer medication under physician direction and within the scope of practice.
  • Perform diagnostic testing, such as EKGs, audiograms, and visual screenings, as instructed.
  • Review and assist with daily medication refill requests using the ARC refill protocol.
  • Review EPIC triage call in basket for callbacks and inform patients of normal lab results.
  • Ensure rooms are properly stocked and supplies are current and within expiration dates.
  • Clean patient rooms as needed, including proper handling of dirty laundry.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical Assistant experience or CNA/EMT/PCT experience providing direct patient care required.
  • Ability to administer medications and injections within 90 days of hire.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent phone listening skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Six months or more experience as a Medical Assistant.
  • Medical Assistant certification preferred.
Work Schedule

On an as-needed basis between Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
