The Senior Project Architect/Manager plays a pivotal role in steering the project team, collaborating closely with the Partner and Chief Executive to ensure the successful and efficient execution of projects from initial programming through to final closeout, all while delivering exceptional client service.

Exceptional client service is demonstrated through a thorough understanding and a proven track record in managing multiple project budgets, scopes, schedules, and effectively staffing project teams.

A creative and adaptable mindset is also crucial for addressing challenges that may arise during the design and construction phases.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate floor plan backgrounds to set appropriate structural gridlines and related callouts, in collaboration with the structural engineer.
  • Guide the production team in redlining and coordinating reflected ceiling plans.
  • Direct the redlining of floor plans to determine building sections to be cut, ensuring production staff block out these sections and report back.
  • Supervise the redlining of building sections and floor plans to define necessary wall sections for detailing, with production staff tasked to block out these sections.
  • Manage the redlining of floor plans to identify essential details, ensuring production staff effectively block out these details.
  • Direct the redlining of casework plans and elevations, ensuring production staff incorporate these changes.
  • Oversee the redlining of door and window types, ensuring production staff implement these adjustments.
  • Supervise the redlining of schedules and exterior elevations, reviewing them with the design team.
  • Review and redline all floor plan dimensions, assigning tasks to intern production staff.
  • Delegate shop drawing reviews to appropriate production or intern staff, ensuring all returned shop drawings are reviewed and distributed.
  • Coordinate clash detection efforts.
  • Oversee the redlining of roof plans.
  • Design special architectural elements, such as the main entry.
  • Ensure the completion of redlines and review them with production staff.
  • Organize team meetings to review established cartoon sets and assign responsibilities.
  • Coordinate and attend weekly meetings with the production team and all consultants, generating a task list for the upcoming week.
  • Facilitate review meetings with the specifications department at key project milestones.
  • Collaborate with MEP teams to ensure appropriate spaces are allocated and backgrounds are redlined for production staff.
  • Generate necessary code review documents and coordinate jurisdictional meetings and submissions.
  • Attend owner coordination meetings and verify all 'checked by' boxes on project sheets.
  • Align specifications with the Senior Project Manager.
Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid Architect license.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Architecture is required.
  • Architecture License is mandatory.
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Revit is essential.
  • Strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
