We are looking for a proactive and experienced Senior Account Executive to become part of Ferring's microbiome division. Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Account Executive will oversee institutional access and ensure product uptake at various levels including system, local, and account.
This role requires adept navigation through the complexities of both inpatient and outpatient care environments. The incumbent will manage all sales activities within significant gastroenterology accounts in the designated region.
The objective is to maximize sales volume through the promotion of Ferring's products to targeted customers and distribution channels, including healthcare professionals, healthcare systems, hospitals, and clinics.

Key Responsibilities:
Account Management:
- Meet established sales targets in alignment with company and departmental goals.
- Engage in promotional activities with hospitals, outpatient centers, system influencers, and large gastroenterology practices to facilitate product adoption.
- Identify key decision-makers within the territory and cultivate enduring business relationships.
- Maintain a strong cross-functional focus to support account management and growth.
- Utilize the discretionary budget effectively to maximize sales impact.
Sales Skills:
- Proactively address customer objections, issues, and concerns.
- Assess customer needs and enhance sales by customizing approaches for each interaction.
- Utilize available sales and marketing resources to optimize presentations and sales calls.
- Participate in training programs to continuously enhance knowledge and sales techniques.
- Recognize and effectively counter resistance to prescribing Ferring products.
Clinical Knowledge:
- Stay informed about product clinical studies and the competitive clinical landscape to address customer inquiries.
- Communicate the brand's value proposition to facilitate hospital adoption.
- Identify and leverage influencer networks to drive adoption.
- Execute in-services flawlessly and ensure stakeholders are identifying suitable candidates for treatment.
Business Acumen:
- Effectively deploy territory resources including marketing materials and approved sales tools.
- Analyze and prioritize calls and routes to maximize sales opportunities.
- Evaluate the impact of insurance mandates on prescribing decisions and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Document territory activities through monthly reports and other relevant documentation.
- Contribute to meetings, conventions, and training programs.
- Coordinate and implement special marketing initiatives and projects.
- Manage time and tasks to optimize customer engagement and sales volume.
- Recommend sales and marketing strategies based on customer insights and market dynamics.
- Understand healthcare economics and market trends affecting patient care.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales.
- At least 3 years of experience in a hospital setting.
- Recent hospital experience preferred.
- Experience in infectious disease or gastroenterology is highly desirable.
- Experience with major national or regional hospitals preferred.
- Familiarity with buy and bill processes required.
- Proven track record of high sales performance.
- Experience with account planning and reporting preferred.
- Exceptional customer service and account management skills.
- Understanding of managed care landscape and its business implications.
- Strong independent decision-making and strategic thinking abilities.
- Advanced presentation skills and business acumen are essential.
- Broad understanding of market access and evolving patient care trends.
- Must reside within the assigned territory.
- Ability to drive or travel extensively within the territory.
- Ability to lift and carry materials as needed.
