Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Advanced Property Accountant to join our team at Western & Southern Life. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for managing and executing the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting processes for our one million square foot Class A office, retail, and parking garage development, Queen City Square.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute the day-to-day details of the on-going accounting processes necessary to maintain complete and accurate financial reporting packages for management and ownership.
  • Prepare complex accounting, budget, and property journal entries.
  • Ensure that the property management and accounting system (Yardi) is properly maintained and accurately reflects the financial provisions of the underlying lease documents.
  • Prepare complex monthly financial statements and consolidate monthly reports for Asset and Senior management.
  • Manage the execution of the annual budget creation process and reforecasts for the property.
  • Identify and lead the implementation of accounting and financial process enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness for accomplishing objectives of the department/enterprise.
  • Monitor compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and enterprise policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 4-6 years of experience in real estate accounting and related GAAP.
  • Proven experience coordinating multiple projects/assignments simultaneously, and completing assigned tasks accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Strong analytical skills, including demonstrated experience identifying and quantifying problems and providing effective resolutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to convey information to internal and external customers in a clear, focused, and concise manner.
Work Setting/Position Demands

This role requires working in an office setting and remaining in a continuous stationary position for long periods of time while working at a desk, on a computer, or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings.
